On Friday evening Chelsea helped me make a tea cake. It is lush!
On Saturday we went for a walk around Caradon Hill on Bodmin Moor. The hill is littered with old engine houses from the mining and there are lovely views around.
We started at Minions village and were worried we'd have to reconsider our route when we came across this lane full of calves:
Chelsea beat most of them off, but met her match with this one. It wouldn't budge! (I wouldn't either if I had horns like that)
I perfected my camera pose.
Ah! Some wild ponies and a lovely view. We stopped here for some satties.
Then home for a recreation of Chelsea's birthday dinner (crab pasta).
On Sunday we walked right from our front door to Golant along the Saints Way. It was a great walk and nice not to have to drive anywhere first.
We came across these at Penventinue Manor Farm.
Through the woods
Ooo, a water feature.
And arrived at Golant for our packed lunch,
and a very nice view of the mist.
Then back in Fowey Chelsea made time for a celebratory Last Ice Cream of the Summer.
A lovely end to a long, long summer of fun.
