The last weekend of the Christmas Holidays - boo!
We went for a walk on Bodmin Moor from Blisland. Chelsea said "I can see why people ride their horses up here. It's so they don't have to get their own feet muddy"."
Look how high the mud comes on Chelsea's little wellies! I would like to be able to say that Chelsea fell over in this, but she didn't.
The walk was worth all the mud though. With a little help from a friendly local after getting a little bit lost, we found the Jubilee Rock.
We had a little sit down on it to enjoy the view...
... our flasks, and a bit of Kendal Mint Cake. Chelsea looks very excited - it must be all the sugar.
The carving on this side of the rock is Britannia, but there are other carvings too of local family crests and from jubilee celebrations over the years. I'm just making sure my new boots have enough grip. Yes. They do.
I won't be allowed to take these ones back now
On Sunday we had a go at making our own bread...
I've no idea what happened. It's a bit flat. And dense. But thankfully still tasty, and Chelsea made a delicious Golden Vegetable Soup from the Hairy Dieters book for us to dip it in.
