This week we had a visit from Tara and Billy which was a nice treat. Hope they enjoyed Cornwall as much as we do!
So it's week 2 in my new job and the perks are coming thick and fast. Following last week's free massage Bradley and I have been treated to a free 3 course dinner and night at the hotel! I don't think we've ever stayed in such luxury accommodation!
After settling in to our fancy sea view room there was time for a swim in the pool and a few minutes in the steam room before getting ready and going down to dinner. We would have gone in the jacuzzi but there were other customers in there and I didn't fancy sharing!
On Saturday morning we went for quick stroll along Gyllyngvase Beach opposite the hotel and a hot chocolate at the Gylly Beach Cafe mmm. It was so nice and sunny we even sat outside.
Then it was off to Mylor Churchtown just a few miles away for a proper walk.
All around the headland on the coast path. Dark clouds are gathering ahead!
Spring has definitely arrived and we were treated to more than one April Shower between spells of glorious sunshine. This little shower was actually hailstones not rain, but you see Bradley is still enjoying it.
Here's the view across to Falmouth.
Then we headed across to Flushing through some woodlands where everything is greening up nicely for spring. My latest wildflower spot this week was violets. (Already seen daffodils, red campion, crocus, primrose and snowdrops in previous weeks).
This luscious looking vegetation you can see on every surface all along this path is wild garlic! We've never seen it so abundant!
Back home on Sunday it was time to get to work on the van. Bradley had removed all the interior panels, so we took off the ceiling and got scrubbing to get rid of the grease and dust so it will be ready for flash banding (that's a job for next time) to keep the noise and vibration down. Lovely and sunny again as you can see so a perfect day for it.
