World Pasty Championships

We went to Eden this weekend for a pasty.  While we were there they decided to hold the World Pasty Championships didn't they.

Here are a few of our favourites:

a Cornwall-shaped pasty
a global pasty
 many, many pasties!
possibly a jam filled pasty?
 a Bassetts Allsorts pasty?
We also spotted Paul Young in the gift shop.  He was probably there to sing his opening line of Do They Know It's Christmas but he could have been there to see the pasties too.  Everyone wanted to be at World Pasty Championships.

On Sunday we went for a walk around St Mawes.  Ramble number 7 from our Roseland Walks book.

Here's another of King Henry VIII's castles
Here's Chelsea at the top of a big hill...
...for a good view of  Falmouth in the distance
Scenic river views...
... dockyard river views...
... and muddy river views
Oh no, a blocked path.  Chelsea clears the way!
Back at St Mawes for the best view
and a strange bit of sunshine (the only bit all day)
We've had a great time exploring somewhere new!

Back to work tomorrow and Chelsea starts her new job at St Michael's Hotel and Spa in Falmouth.  Good luck Chelsea!
