4 Days Off Together!

Good Friday

More work on the van.  This time we put sticky tape all over it so it won't fall apart.
This should do the trick

Saturday

We woke up to Sunshine!  A rare occurrence lately, we were almost afraid to leave the flat.

Down to Caerhays for a stroll.
We walked along the coastal path to Portholland
Could it be... the real Mrs Goggins from Postman Pat?
It was such a pretty little vilage
We sat in the sun on the beach for ages
This was the view on the way back.  You can see Gull Rock, and to the right of that is Nares Head.  Then to the left, in the very distance is the Lizard Peninsula.
What's this?  A well deserved ice cream!  The first (of many) this year

Easter Sunday

Chelsea made a Simnel cake
We planned to go surfing with Paul and set off to the Hidden Hut cafe at Porthcurnick Beach.  Alas the waves looked too choppy and a bit dangerous for our liking so we took a stroll around Porthcurnick and enjoyed our flasks and Chelsea's cake back at the van.
On the way home we popped into the Lost Gardens of Heligan

We saw a knobbly tree and had to take a photo!

 the Jungle area
 He's behind you!
shhhh, she's sleeping!

Bank Holiday Monday

We went to Bodmin Moor for a walk around Kilmar Tor (in this link it's really visible).
 First stop was Bearah Tor
 surf's up!  How big?
 this big!
 some stunning views
Next stop Trewortha Tor.  To the left of the ridge is a Tor called King Arthur's Bed.  In the bottom left of this picture is a small reconstructed Bronze Age Village
 King Arthur's Bed.  Comfy?
Maybe not, but some nice views and a chance to get out of the wind for some hot chocolate.

Finally a bit of sun shine.  We're nearly home...
... spot the van?
We've had such a lovely bank holiday.  If only every weekend were 4 days long!
