Saturday
We went for Walk 18 of our AA Walks around St Anthony Head on the Roseland Peninsula.
First stop Porthbeor Beach.
It only took us about ten minutes to get this far but I was already greedy for an excuse to stop and eat Chelsea's cake!
Had a go on the rocks too didn't IThese were some good rocks
Second stop Towan Beach
No rocks here, just sand
The view out to St Mawes Harbour a bit further around the walk accompanied by the clink, clink of the masts.
Place House - looks like a palace!
Beeeeeeeeeeeees!
The smell of the gorse on the warm breeze has made this walk feel like being abroad.
Last stop St Anthony Lighthouse. Out of the way Chelsea, I'm trying to see the lighthouse. There it is. Looks like a lighthouse.
On the way home we stopped at the Fish and Chip Van in Veryan and took them down to the beach at Carne. There's Nare's Head in the distance (been there before haven't we). A beautiful view for alfresco dining.
Yes, it was tasty!
Every now and then we are reminded how lucky we are to live here and today was definitely one of them.
Sunday
Which ended up decidedly absent of sun.
We got up early when the sun was still out and hurried to the shops to beat the grocery rush. Shopping done and back in Fowey the sun decided it'd done enough work for the weekend and the drizzle set in.
Never mind - fingers crossed for next weekend.
