Cornwall VW Jamboree

We've just come back from the Cornwall VW Jamboree at the Stithians Showground organised by the Cornwall Volkswagen Owners Club.

We took my little beetle along in the hope that someone would take a fancy to it.

Have a look at these beauties:

 This was Chelsea's favourite bus.
Cosy inside!

I think the pink bug suits Chelsea.
We also went for a walk around Gwennap Pit near Redruth while we were down that way.  It's an old mine made into an amphitheatre.
There were some great views from the summit of Carn Marth nearby.  We could see the Bristol Channel on the North coast and the English Channel down at Falmouth on the South coast.  Chelsea looks a bit confused here - perhaps it's the high altitude.
This is one of the mining pits at Carn Marth that they flooded to prevent further mining.  You can see that the added moisture in the air has encouraged Chelsea's hair to expand.
Back home to enjoy some baked potatoes!
